You could play Viper on Breeze to limit the long spaces, but that's it. That's because Breeze just tests your eyesight to check if you need farsighted glasses. Breezeīreeze was arguably the worst map in Valorant before one other specific map was released. The best part about Icebox may be the ropes with which you can hold unique angles, but even they are somewhat hard for a player to know when to use them. The only viable site for the attacking side is A since the B site is literally one narrow alleyway waiting to be filled with blood. The defending side has 1000 locations they could be, and the same goes for the attacking side too. There are so many angles, so many opportunities, that you don't even know where to look. Icebox is one of the most anxious maps in Valorant, be it for the attacking or defending side. All of this makes Pearl rank in 5th place of all Valorant maps. On the other hand, Pearl requires game sense a lot! It has a lot of locations, angles, and camping spots you'll have to keep in mind the whole time you're playing on Pearl, making it really unsuitable for beginner players. On one hand, you've got 2 great sites providing long and short angles with an excellent mid punishing any players who don't defend it. PearlĪs the latest map addition in Episode 5, Pearl was critically acclaimed by the player base. It presents ropes and vents, but they only serve for rotating and sneaky attacks. You may argue middle control is what it's all about, but 1 Sage wall, and boom, you're done. If you're attacking A or B on Split, there is only one way to enter the site, so the defenders have to camp in only 1 place while having 3 different angles to shoot at you from. What Split lacks, though, is how it favors the defending site. It has all sorts of angles, be it short or long. Like Haven, Split gives the opportunity for any weapon to be used. Some players may argue it holds a lower place in Valorant, but let me explain. Split has to be one of the most underrated maps in Valorant. Aside from that, Bind still holds its place as a great map among players. The issue with Bind's teleporters is how loud they are, letting the opposing side know your location which can get you stuck with no way out. That's why Bind's unique feature is teleporters, giving the player an opportunity to switch sides in an instant. One issue with Bind is how some flanks favor the defending side, and rotation can take forever, depending on the site. Be it attacking or defending, Bind equals both sides. Bindīind may fall short of Haven and Ascent, but it's still a really great map to play on. Beginners may have a bit of a difficult time approaching Haven, but nonetheless, Haven is an iconic map of Valorant. Every weapon can shine on Haven, be it an Operator for holding C long, or even a Judge by going to A short and bursting the enemies in an instant. You literally have the decision to plant on 3 sides if you're attacking and the defending side has an equal opportunity by having many unexpected angles they could hold to surprise the enemy. Tied in for 1st place as the second-best map in Valorant is Haven! Haven is one of the best maps for multiple reasons, the main one being that it introduced us to 3 sites. And let's not forget the doors Ascent presents to us, which can close off whole sections for defending post-plant! | © Riot Games 2. The most important strategy for Ascent is holding control of the middle. Ascent is easy to handle for beginners and pros alike. Some angle may be better for the defending side, but the attacking side has an equal opportunity to abuse that with team play and abilities. The strategies Ascent proposes for attacking and defending are insane. The decision is tough for every player, but the best map in Valorant has to be Ascent.
